On a way of fastening on a leg is the either closed galosh, or a boot with the open heel and a calcaneal belt behind. Models with a calcaneal belt have greater range of adjustments, but not so comfortably and densely sit on a leg. Moreover, the ends of thongs often cling one to another and for vegetation of a cord, cables, grids, which raises risks and reduces comfort. Propulsion fins with the whole galosh are more comfortable but they should be in precise size and you should also consider water temperature of water, the fins for colder waters are usually taken on one-two sizes bigger therefore you are able to protect your feet with additional layer of cloth. When you have put the fins on check up - whether they press you on a foot from edges to toe, whether the heel falls down, lift you leg and gently shake it - if the fin does not dangle around but its end shakes in accordance with your movements, it does not fall down, and densely kept, you can safely use them for diving. |
